The Title Historic Town of the Year Awarded

The prize for the best preparation and realisation of the Programme of the Regeneration of Urban Monument Reserves and Urban Monument Zones in 2010 and the title Historic Town of the Year 2010 has been awarded to the Town of Znojmo.

The results of the competition were announced on Tuesday, 19 April 2011 in the afternoon in a ceremony on the International Day of Monuments and Sites in the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle convened by the Minister of Culture, the Minister for Regional Development, the President of the SHS ČMS and the President of the Czech National Committee of ICOMOS in co-operation with the Office of the President of the Czech Republic and the Administration of Prague Castle.
