European Heritage Days / EHD

Every year, usually during the second weekend of September, the doors of the most interesting monuments, buildings, premises and areas are opened to the public. That includes those that are otherwise partly or totally inaccessible.

The National Theme 2008

The national Theme for 2008 was - Monuments in the Landscape, Landscape as a Monument.

National Opening of EHD 2008

EHD 2008 took place from 13 to 21 September 2008. The theme was “Monuments in the Landscape and Landscape as a Monument”. The National Opening Ceremony of EHD was held in České Budějovice.

12 September (Friday) 5 pm – preview of the exhibition “Bearers of the Tradition of Folk Crafts”
13 September (Saturday) 10 am – official opening of EHD and awarding of the title Bearer of the Tradition of Folk Crafts
