The Association of Historical Settlements in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia (SHS ČMS) is helping to create conditions and instruments for the preservation and permanently sustainable use of the cultural heritage.   

Membership

The Association was established at the initiative of east Bohemian towns in November 1990.

On 1 July 2008, the Association had 209 members, including 201 full members (villages, towns and their parts), and 8 associate members.

Historical Town Of the Year 2007

The competition Historical Town of the Year 2007 has ended!

The Prize for the Best Preparation and Implementation of the Regeneration Programme of Urban Monument Reserves and Urban Monument Zones in 2007 and the title Historical Town of the year 2007 were awarded to the Jindřichův Hradec.
The winner was announced in a ceremony in the Spanish Hall of Prague castle on 16  April 2008 at a meeting on the occasion of the International Monuments and Sites Day.

International Heritage Photographic Experience 2008

The 2nd edition opened in the CR! This competition is organized within the European Heritage Days/EHD. Our Association was asked by the Council of Europe (the main organizer) to arrange the competition in the Czech Republic under its aegis.
The winner was announced in a ceremony in the Spanish Hall of Prague castle on 16April at a meeting on the occasion of the International Monuments and Sites Day. The names of the winners, their photos and the photos of all participants are in the article.

Conference - Life in Monuments - Hradec Králové

The Association of Historical Settlements in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, the town of Hradec Králové and the Liberec, Pardubice and Hradec Králové Regions arranged a conference entitled “Life in Monuments” held in the ALDIS Congress Centre in Hradec Králové on 4 and 5 October 2007.
